Fashion Studies Mending Bar at GLF 2025
Fashion studies students will be on hand at the Green Living Fair 2024 to help you mend, repair, or alter your clothes to give them new life and reduce textile waste in the world.
We can help with a variety of fixes including patching or mending holes, rips, and tears. Adding decorative stitching, appliques, and patches. Hemming pants, taking in garments that are too big, shortening garments that are too long and much more.
If you are interested in learning to mend your garments yourself, students will help to demonstrate simple hand sewing techniques you can do at home and will send you home with the basic supplies you need.
In order to ensure that we can help you with your mend, please complete this google form to let us know what you have that needs our attention. And don’t worry, if you didn’t submit the form, please feel free to come by and ask for help on the day of.

Clothing Swap at the GLF 2025
Bring a garment, take a garment…. Everything is FREE! The Fashion Club will be on hand to help you swap your unwanted items for your newest fashion treasure. Here are some guidelines to keep in mind:
- Please bring a maximum of 3 items per person.
- Clothing and accessories are welcome.
- All items must be in excellent wearable condition.
- Please only bring CLEAN and unwrinkled items.
- You don’t have to bring a garment in order to take a garment.
