About the Program
The Fashion Studies Program offers a variety of classes designed to give students a foundational understanding of the fashion design and apparel industry.
Whether your goal is to start a fashion business, get hired as a designer or patternmaker, or just improve your sewing skills, our classes will provide you with industry techniques and information. Students leave our program with the essential skills to continue their fashion design studies at a four year college, or to apply for entry level jobs or apprenticeships at apparel manufacturing or design company.

Our Classroom
In 2021, Fashion Studies left its longtime home on the Santa Rosa Campus, and relocated to the SRJC Petaluma Campus. Our new home offers a large classroom space that is equipped with updated equipment including industry pattern cutting tables, industrial sewing machines, and a 400 volume library of fashion related reference books.
